HERE AND THEN
NOW AND THERE
How can we perceive our location in time? This body of work is a dimensional synthesis of movement through space (x, y, z) and time (t), an interplay between the two and their dimensions, in an attempt to understand time and simultaneity beyond human experience. Photography extends the process of making an image into a representation of time, producing slices of spatial, non-linear time and transitioning from its “traditional” two-dimensional nature to a three-dimensional approach. Individuals and their traces within this constructed transition space become the markers of time. By combining these slices in various arrangements and exploring different perspectives, we unlock several systems (x, y, z, t) where past, present, and future coexist and the dimensions of space and time are treated equally.
These cubes are yours to play with, to layer, to combine. These slices are here for you to explore, to observe. How do you perceive your location in time?
